Dionne Warwick talks about duets on new Christmas album

Dionne Warwick calls her Voices of Christmas album "the most amazing work I've done in a long time... [It's] a twist on Christmas music... it's not traditionally the way you hear it."

Unlike duet projects that were assembled digitally, Dionne and her partners sang together in the studio. Dionne says, "When you do a duet, that's what it is. The two of you are there to do it."

Some of those who do it with her here are Johnny Mathis (on "White Christmas") and Michael McDonald ("Jingle Bell Rock").

Dionne talked recording "Jingle Bell Rock" with Michael McDonald: "Oh, we took it to another level. Another arrangement of it, not the normal arrangement. We kind of tailored it for Michael. I don't know if another voice could have done it the way he did it."
