Paul McCartney once recorded a "secret" Christmas album.
But it won't be in stores or on the radio this year -- or any year.
The music icon tells BBC 4 radio he produced it "just for the family." He did it because he didn't like the Christmas records on the market at the time. "So I actually went into my studio over a couple of years and I made one."
Even though his kids and now grandkids like the collection of traditional instrumentals, he wants to keep the recording a McCartney family exclusive. "It’s something they’ve heard through the years, you know, and now it’s the grandkids getting indoctrinated with my carols record."
Sir Paul also touched on his headlining slot at the 2020 Glastonbury Festival, saying he'll perform 10 concerts earlier in the year "to get up to speed." He compares his preparation to that of an Olympian: "You don’t get an athlete just coming into the Olympics not having done a few races beforehand." (NME)
