The "iHeart Living Room Concert for America" aired last Sunday night and resulted in huge interest for the artists that took part in the event which raised money for coronavirus relief, according to Variety.
Google data saw marked increases in searches for all the headliners, with the show’s host Elton John seeing the largest increase, along with Alicia Keys, Billie Eilish and Mariah Carey.
At least 5.5-million viewers tuned into Sunday night’s show, which so far helped raise more than $8-million for two organizations, Feeding America and First Responders Children’s Foundation.
·In an interview with “Variety,” producers shared that they originally planned to have a comedian host the show but when that fell through Elton actually volunteered to host, because he wanted to be a part of it, but didn’t have a piano in the home where he was staying. Husband David Furnish actually recorded his part of the broadcast, and the keyboard he used at the end belonged to one of his kids.
·It turns out Mariah Carey had a little fan on hand to produce the effect of her hair blowing in the wind during her performance. Mariah was also watching her kids while singing, and had to keep the door to her room open during her performance in order to keep an eye on them.
