David Crosby is continuing to grieve the death in May of Melissa Etheridge's son, 21-year old Beckett Cypher, from opiate addiction.
Beckett was conceived from sperm Crosby donated to Melissa and then partner Julie Cypher.

"He's really sad. And, you know, of course he thinks that somehow his own biology was part of the reason that Beckett was addicted to opioids. But, you can't. We all have that capacity to be addicted. He's such a beautiful man. I mean he really is. With all his quirks and everything, he gave me an opportunity to be a parent and I'm so grateful for that."
Crosby is also the biological father Bailey Jean.
