Elton John, according to reports, is trying to settle the lawsuit that was filed against him by ex-wife Renate Blauel.
According The Sun, lawyers have until October 13th to settle the lawsuit.
Renate is asking for just shy of four-million dollars in damages stemming from Elton’s writing about their marriage Me, his memoir and for portraying the marriage in the film Rocketman.
Blauel’s legal team claims he "seriously misrepresented the nature of their relationship," and, in doing so, caused her "recurring nightmares, agoraphobia, fear, depression, and anxiety.”
The couple were married from 1984 to 1988.
