A letter written by Beatles manager Brian Epstein that confirmed the firing of their drummer Pete Best is headed to auction on October 27th.
Epstein wrote the letter to Fab Four booking manager Joe Flannery. Flannery kept it until he passed away last year. His family put the letter up for bids with Omega Auctions, who’ve said they expect it to sell for between $850 and $1.300.
Epstein commented in the letter that he'd read that Best had already joined a new group, The All Stars, and that he sends “our sincere wishes for Pete’s and the group’s continued success.” (NME)
