Pablo Cruise doesn’t have a problem with the "yacht rock" band. The band has returned with the new single “Breathe.”
Founding member Cory Lerios says, "It's a nice term, it sort of creates a genre of music. [So many] bands fall into it: Firefall, Orleans, Christopher Cross, of that era. It's not heavy metal, it's not smooth jazz... For us, it's kind of ironic, we're Pablo Cruise, right? We did a lot of sailing, when we were based in Sausalito, just north of the Golden Gate Bridge."
Pablo Cruise was unable to tour this summer because of the pandemic. Lerios looks back saying, "We were out 100 days last year, that was just the greatest time. Lots of full houses.... I sure hope [concerts] come back the way we remembered it."
The group’s 2021 plans for touring are in question at the moment, so they’ve spent their time working on new music.
