Todd Rundgren has treated his fans to a little Christmas spirit with a cover of the 1978 novelty Christmas song “Flappie.”
The song was originally done by Dutch comedian Youp van ’t Hek.
Todd said,"Of all the probably more conventional things that people would do, I tend to find the least covered song, and so I went out looking for Christmas novelty songs, and I found this little gem that was a big hit record in Holland. Apparently it's a custom in Holland to raise a rabbit and then have it for Christmas dinner. And you can imagine that all of the trauma that that creates for the young person tasked with raising the rabbit. So, it's essentially a story about what it's like to have a Christmas dinner in Holland."
Todd also warns fans to listen to the song at their own risk.
