Dave Grohl has gone on record talking about the internal personal issues between members of Nirvana despite their real musical bond with one another.
Grohl was recently the guest on Britain's The Big Issue. He said that while members of the band cared deeply for one another and were close friends, "there was a dysfunction in Nirvana that a band like Foo Fighters doesn’t have.”
Speaking about bassist Krist Novoselic, Grohl said the two clicked musically. He added, "If the music hadn’t worked, we wouldn’t have been there together."
Grohl said he felt like things have changed since the death of Kurt Cobain. He said, “When I see Krist now, I hug him like family. But back then we were young, the world was just so strange.”
Grohl also said he believed there are "some people you can only communicate with musically. And sometimes that’s an even greater, deeper communication.”
