Rick Springfield’s biggest album Working Class Dog, featuring his smash “Jessie’s Girl” turned 40 this week and Springfield hopes to celebrate in a big way.
Springfield told Billboard that he had planned an anniversary tour but it was delayed due to the pandemic.He hasn’t scrapped his plans.Rick wants to play the iconic album in its entirety.
Springfield said, “When I first started, they were the only songs that I had so I played everything,” he says. “But I haven't played the whole record since ’81.”
Rick plans to reissue the album, including demos of several unreleased tracks.
