Alice Cooper and Gene Simmons seem to be at odds with one another after Simmons’ recent comments that rock ‘n roll music is “dead.”
Cooper recently told the UK’s NME that he feels like a new generation of rock artists are actually crafting their sound by studying artists from the 70’s, 80’s and 90’s.Cooper said, "I guarantee you right now that in London somewhere, in garages, they’re learning Aerosmith and Guns N’ Roses…”
Cooper went on to say rock music is “not at the Grammys, we’re not mainstream. Rock and roll is outside looking in right now, and that gives us that outlaw attitude. ”He is confident that rock ‘n roll will still exist “some 30 or 40 years from now.”
