Journey lawsuit has been settled

Neal Schon and Jonathan Cain of Journey have finally settled a lawsuit they filed against former bandmates Steve Smith and Ross Valory in 2020.

Journey’s management released a statement this week that said: "Neal Schon and Jonathan Cain acknowledge the valuable contributions that both Ross Valory and Steve Smith have made to the music and the legacy of Journey. Ross Valory and Steve Smith wish their former bandmates well and much success in the future. Journey looks forward to continuing to tour and make new music for their dedicated fans around the world."

Neal and Jonathan filed a $10 million lawsuit against Smith and Valory on March 3rd of last year which claimed they attempted a “coup” to gain control of the Journey band trademark.

Smith and Valory were dismissed from the band and replaced by drummer Narada Michael Walden and bass player Randy Jackson.

The band has been busy recording new music they plan to release in a new album later this year.
