Dionne Warwick, after a career full of big collaborations with the likes of Burt Bacharach, Barry Gibb and Barry Manilow among others, has joined forces with Chance the Rapper on a new single.
Dionne hopes the single will be ready for release this summer. She says, "You know, I am recording now with Chance the Rapper. And we're doing a duet that hopefully will be released late summer. We found a song that we both fell in love in with. Chance and I became friends over Twitter [laugh]. We're looking at each other more as family than friend. Chance is in the studio at this point in time, putting his voice on the track. And he'll be sending that to me and I'll be putting my voice on."
Dionne went on to talk about the missing live performances in the past few months:
"It is my life; I miss it terribly. And I'm hoping that people miss it as well. The fact that I'll be able to stand on a stage and look directly in your face and watch that arm go around the shoulder and put a smile there. That's the joy of what I do. I'm looking forward to the day that I can resume being part of the smile times in your lives."
Dionne Warwick fans will also get another pay-per-view streaming show on Mother’s Day.
