The Go-Go’s will take a look back at their 2001 reunion album, ‘God Bless The Go-Go’s,’ with a special expanded release to mark the album’s 20th anniversary.
The expanded edition will feature the 12 songs from the original album along with two new songs, “I Think I Need Sleep” and “King of Confusion.”
The album wasn’t made available on vinyl with its original release back in 2001, but the expanded edition will also be pressed on blue colored vinyl for record buffs.
Bandmates Charlotte Caffey, Belinda Carlisle, Gina Schock, Kathy Valentine and Jane Weidlin will be joined by Billie Joe Armstrong from Green Day on “Unforgiven,” Rami Jaffee from The Wallflowers and Foo Fighters on “Here You Are,” and Roger Manning from Jellyfish, Imperial Drag and The Moog Cookbook on “Daisy Chain.”
That’s a big collection of talent. By the way, The Go-Go’s are currently sitting at #3 in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame’s Fan Vote, which is a factor in which artists will be included in the Class of 2021.
