Tina Turner just commented on being elected into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame for a second time.
She tweeted, “I am absolutely thrilled to be inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame amongst such amazing artists! Thank you all for your continued love and support over the years! Love, Tina.”
Tina was previously elected to the Rock Hall as part of the duo Ike and Tina Turner with her late ex-husband. Tina has been eligible for election as a solo artist since 2000.
Tina joins Carole King (also honored this year) and Stevie Nicks as the only women honored twice by the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
Other inductees this year include The Go-Go’s, Todd Rundgren, Jay-Z and Foo Fighters. The induction ceremony will take place on Saturday, October 30th at 7pm (Central) in Cleveland.
