There’s a worldwide celebration this month commemorating the 50th anniversary of Marvin Gaye’s Motown classic “What’s Going On,” which was released on May 21st, 1971.
Here a few of the things going on to honor the all-time classic:
- R&B artist, Jac Ross recently posted his version classic of the title song on TikTok.
- The Rockabye Baby series has just updated the melody of "What's Going On" as a lullabye.
- There are new animated videos of "What's Going On" and the album's second groundbreaking single "Mercy Mercy Me (The Ecology)" that have just been posted.
- Next month, hip-hop artist Young Guru will release a remix of the title song.
