Ronnie Wood has discussed the upcoming Rolling Stones' expanded reissue of their 1981 album, Tattoo You. Wood told The Times that he and Mick Jagger have "done nine new tracks" for the 40th anniversary edition.
The expanded reissue will contain outtakes from various recording sessions in the 70’s and it features one of the Stones’ all-time classics “Start Me Up,” which peaked at #2 on the ‘Billboard Hot 100’ in 1981.The album itself went to #1 on the ‘Billboard 200’ albums chart.
Other songs featured include "Hang Fire," "Little T&A," "Neighbours" and "Waiting on a Friend."
The Rolling Stones have released four other expanded editions, including Exile on Main Street, Some Girls, Sticky Fingers and Goats Head Soup.
There’s no release date yet on the 40th anniversary edition of Tattoo You.
