Culture Club are set to hit the road after an 18-month pandemic hiatus. Boy George said it took him awhile to really come to grips with what was going on.
The music legend told Glasgow Live "I don’t think anyone thought it was going to last, like we were all anticipating a few months and then things would be getting back to some kind of normal at least, but it just kept going on and on, so it was a gradual realization.”
Boy George added, "It didn’t really dawn on me for about six months that I hadn’t worked, which was like ‘oh, [smack]’. It was people on the TV talking about theaters and live gigs, I suddenly realized that it was me they were talking about, too. I hadn’t really noticed as I was just getting on with it at first and dealing with what was going on, then I started to realize how much it had already decimated my industry and my world."
