Aerosmith has just signed a deal with Universal Music Group, which will now control the legendary group’s master recordings.
The deal includes Aerosmith’s entire discography, merchandise and their audio/video projects. UMG will also be the future home of any Aerosmith projects—which will include new content celebrating the group’s 50th anniversary.
Joe Perry said that the deal “will allow us to bring our music to our fans in ways we never were able to before.” He added, “It's something we've dreamed about happening for a long time,” noting, “Needless to say we are very excited. It's an incredible way to celebrate 50 years and the many more years to come."
