Elvis fans are still crazy for the King of Rock and Roll decades after his death and one fan just shelled out $72,500 for a hunk of Elvis’ hair.
The auction took place in Los Angeles and the winning bidder received a glass jar that contained a baseball-sized hunk of Elvis’ hair that was saved by the King’s personal barber, Homer Gilleland. Gilleland eventually gave the hair to a friend who sold in 2002 for $115,000.
The jar of Elvis’ hair came with a certificate of authenticity along with plane tickets from a time when the King took Gilleland on tour with him to cut his hair. (Huffington Post)
