The Rolling Stones reportedly did not attend the funeral of legendary drummer Charlie Watts because of COVID restrictions.
Mick Jagger, Keith Richards and Ronnie Wood are currently in the U.S. rehearsing for the No Filter tour this fall which will feature Steve Jordan from Keith's side band, the X-Pensive Winos, on drums. And, because of COVID restrictions, the guys were not able to fly back for Watts’ funeral last week in Charlie's hometown of Devon, England.
We’re still awaiting word on what the group is planning in celebration of Charlie’s life later this year back home in England.
The Stones will kick off their tour on September 26th in St. Louis and, out of respect for Charlie, the red tongue and lips logo will be black and white. Charlie Watts passed away on August 24th at the age of 80.
