Genesis could be coming to an end

Phil Collins has gone on record saying Genesis will end after their tour The Last Domino? tour wraps up December 16th in Boston. Phil was interviewed in the November issue of Mojo, and he says, “This English and American tour, that will be enough for me.”

Collins was asked if he is officially removing the “question mark” from the title of this tour, and he says, “Yes. The question mark was Tony Banks’ idea.”

However, Tony Banks is not saying this is the end just yet. Banks says, “I think it depends a little bit how it goes. How Phil stands up to it all. How the audience receive it, and how we all feel about it, really.”

Phil has dealt with several health issues in the past 10 years, which have left the pop star unable to hold a drumstick and he has been forced to sit down while singing. Collins’ son Nicholas is currently handling drums. Genesis fans are certainly hoping the band doesn’t come to an end after four plus decades but it’s looking more and more like that could be the case. What a ride it has been for Genesis.
