Stevie Wonder turned in a couple of big performance from Los Angeles at Saturday’s ‘Global Citizens Festival’ featuring his new song “The Living Killing Life.”
The Motown legend opened with 3-song set including “Superstition” (featuring H.E.R. playing guitar).That was followed by “Overjoyed,” and then he introduced “The Living Killing Life” Stevie wrote the new song after January 11th, 2010, which was his granddaughter’s and his mother’s birthday.
That day was also the day before a major earthquake struck Haiti. Stevie said, "We cannot be global citizens and not care about all global citizens. We must care by making room for our global citizens who need a home.”
Stevie then performed "The Living Killing Life." Stevie indicated the proceeds from the single would be given to charity.
He later returned with Sheila E on hand drum and OneRepublic on backing vocals with "This I Know."
