Who fans shouldn’t hold their breath for a box set or tour for the legendary band’s ‘Who’s Next’ album’s 50th anniversary.
‘Who’s Next’ was originally released back in 1971.Roger Daltrey says he doesn’t see the point in celebrating the album’s 50th anniversary.
Daltrey told ‘Rolling Stone’ that ‘Who’s Next’ should just be “left as a great album. ”He went on to say that if Who fans want to honor 50 years since its release, he recommends they “play the record and get stoned or whatever and have a good time,” saying they don’t “need us to do that.”
He also said, “I don’t really know. That’s record company business. They own the catalog.” Discussing a possible reissue, Daltrey said, “I feel like a painter who’s finished a painting. I never want to see the bloody thing again! I’m sorry, but you’ve got to let this stuff go.”
