Barry Manilow’s music is now being used as a deterrent against anti-vax protesters who have occupied New Zealand's parliament building.
Officials have begun blasting a 15-minute loop of Manilow songs at the protesters, who've been compared to the trucker convoy that have recently blocked the U.S. border with Canada. Parliament Speaker Trevor Mallard initially tried using the building's sprinklers, but when that didn't work, he settled on Manilow’s hits, including "Mandy" and "Could It Be Magic," along with "Macarena."
Singer James Blunt, known for the smash "You're Beautiful," jumped in with one of his humorous tweets, saying "Give me a shout if this doesn't work." (BBC)
