Baz Luhrmann’s upcoming “Elvis” movie will also have an companion album, including a song from Doja Cat. The Doja Cat song will be released on May 6th. It will be an original track titled “Vegas.” Reports say the song will incorporate clips of Elvis’ 1956 classic “Hound Dog
Details on the full companion album have been slow to surface, but it is expected to feature Yola, who portrays Sister Rosetta Tharpe in the movie. It will also reportedly feature Shonka Dukureh, who plays Big Mama Thornton. RCA says it will feature several variations on Elvis material from artists of all different genres of music.
The film “Elvis” starring Austin Butler and Tom Hanks, will be released in theaters on June 24th. The release of the soundtrack should be around the same time.
