Joan Jett recently talked about the passing of Taylor Hawkins, and is sharing her memories of the Foo Fighters drummer. She called him "a **** wonderful guy" and added that he "would light up a room. Kick-a** drummer."
Joan also shared a memory from the first time the Blackhearts met the Foo Fighters, "around 2010." She said that they "all really hit it off." Joan added, “Just little things like that, they included me in. It was very, sort of, familial. We’re all sittin’ backstage, runnin’ through songs. I can see [Taylor] now on his drum pad, whacking away. He’s a wonderful guy.”
Finally, Joan said, “It’s really a tragedy that so many people who love him, lose him. But, you know, it’s not just physical. He’s around. And that’s hard for people to hear because they want the physical.”
