Farm Aid board members Willie Nelson, John Mellencamp and Dave Matthews won’t have co-founder Neil Young performing this year, but the event still has a packed lineup.
Chris Stapleton, Sheryl Crow, Nathaniel Rateliff and the Night Sweats, Margo Price, Lukas Nelson & Promise of the Real, Allison Russell and Brittney Spencer are set to perform at the annual benefit, which is scheduled for September 24th in Raleigh, North Carolina--the second time the concert has been held in Raleigh.
Neil Young opted out of last year's show just a few weeks before it happened because of Covid concerns. He later revealed on his Archives website that he wouldn't be taking part this year either because "I do not think it is safe in the pandemic. I miss it very much."
