Prince passed away over six years ago and the long-running battle over his estate has finally been settled.
The Minneapolis Star-Tribune is reporting that a court hearing last Friday finally ruled that the Estate, worth a reported $156.4 million, will be split four ways. The estate will go to Prince’s three eldest siblings and to the music company Primary Wave, which purchased shares of the estate from three of Prince’s other heirs.
After the settlement, Prince’s half-sister Sharon Nelson says she’s planning on to bring master tapes to Prince’s Minneapolis studio Paisley Park. Primary Wave has indicated they will “work collaboratively” to help “build and to grow Prince’s legacy.”
