Sammy Hagar seems to be having second thoughts about being part of a tribute show for the late Eddie Van Halen.
The Red Rocker once commented he would do everything possible to attend a tribute show.
He recently told the News-Herald he had been approached by Van Halen's management about participating, but added that he is "so happy with everything I'm doing now, I don't think I'd go back there. Maybe if Alex [Van Halen] was interested, it might be something to talk about, with him and Mikey [Anthony] and a superstar guitar player. But it's really not Van Halen without Eddie, so…I just don't know."
There has been talk for months about a tribute tour with Alex, David Lee Roth and a cast of legendary guitarists, including Joe Satriani and Steve Lukather, but nothing has been announced.
Eddie passed away on October 6th, 2020 from cancer at the age of 65.
