Mark David Chapman, the man who shot and killed John Lennon, has been denied parole for the 12th time.
The 67-year-old, who shot and killed Lennon outside his New York City apartment on December 8th, 1980, appeared before the parole board at the end of August. At previous hearings, Chapman expressed remorse and called his actions "despicable."
Chapman is currently serving 20 years to life at Green Haven Correctional Facility, near New York City. His next parole board hearing will take place in 2024. (Albany Times Union)
