Bruce Springsteen fans just got another release from The Boss’ live archives. The latest is a show that was supposed to end the ‘Darkness on the Edge of Town’ tour in 1978.
The concert was held at the Fox Theatre in Atlanta on October 1st, 1978 and was scheduled as the final show, but shortly afterward, Springsteen's management decided to add another concert leg that ran from November 1st through the end of that year. Springsteen and the E Street Band thought it was the end of the tour when they opened up with a cover of The Rolling Stones' "The Last Time."
The release also features covers of songs by The Animals, Gary U.S. Bonds and Elvis Presley. Springsteen's archivists add that a full bootleg recording of this concert hasn’t ever been released.
