Joe was born on November 20th, 1947 in Wichita, Kansas. The Eagles' guitarist is also known for working with the James Gang and Barnstorm and for his solo work. Joe is also a ham radio operator.
Among the rock royalty that count themselves as fans of Joe include Eric Clapton, Jimmy Page and Pete Townshend, who said he is a “fluid and intelligent player.”Joe hit it big with rock ‘n roll classics like “Rocky Mountain Way” and “Life’s Been Good,” along with his Eagles classics.
Joe has been sober since 1995.He also plays and records with his brother-in-law Ringo Starr (he's married to Marjorie, the sister of Ringo’s wife Barbara Bach). Joe has also played with Paul McCartney, The Beach Boys, Bob Seger, Steve Winwood, Michael McDonald, Warren Zevon, Lionel Richie and several others.
He was inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 1998 as a member of the Eagles.
