Journey singer Arnel Pineda is reportedly fed up with the feud between guitarist Neal Schon and keyboardist Jonathan Cain.
Last month, Schon's wife, Michaele, posted how two members of the band -- likely Cain and Pineda -- were against Gregg Rolie, the band's co-founder along with Schon, joining Journey on their 50th anniversary tour. She ended the post saying, "Let’s ask God to find a way for them. Let’s pray for forgiveness for those who hurt Gregg Rolie and hope they learn what spirituality is someday..."
Soon after, Pineda tweeted, "You people are unbelievable…whoever’s spreading rumor about me regarding the Gregg Rolie issue are maliciously ignorant. I'm not gonna stoop down to your level."
Last Saturday, while the tour officially got underway in Allentown, Pennsylvania, Pineda tweeted again, and said, "I'm with the band to sing the legacy. If some of them are tired of me being with them, with all means, they can fire me anytime...And don’t lecture me about spiritual BS."
That was quickly up with followed with, "All I know is I've paid my dues. So stop reminding me where I came from because it’s in my heart everyday. You just don’t pay attention. I'm not a slave. I'm a human being like anybody else. Wrong is wrong. Right is right. That simple."
Pineda joined Journey in 2007 after Schon saw videos of him singing Journey songs on YouTube. Schon and Cain have filed lawsuits against each other over the band's finances.
Schon is promising a surprise for their upcoming February 22nd show in Austin, which has led to speculation that it will be Rolie who lives nearby.
