The Beach Boys receive big honor

‘A Grammy Salute to The Beach Boys’ was taped this week in front of a live audience at the Dolby Theater in Hollywood. All five living 1960s Beach Boys members -- Brian WilsonMike LoveAl JardineDavid Marks and Bruce Johnston – were on hand the event and were seated in a box together.

They did not perform during the event. Paul McCartney's drummer Abe Laboriel Junior, was part of the house band, which was led by bass player and producer Mike Elizondo. The show is scheduled to air on CBS later this year.
