Chicago have been playing their cover of The Beatles classic "Magical Mystery Tour" on their spring dates. Now, they've decided to release a studio version that’s up on YouTube.
Trumpet player and Chicago founder Lee Loughnane said all this came together after the band wrapped up their 2022 tour last October.
He said, "One day I had The Beatles on and I heard 'Magical Mystery Tour' and it reminded me that when we first started we were doing covers and that was one of them at the time. And I decided to do a version of it in my studio here at home [in Arizona], sent it out to some of the other guys in the band, they put their parts on, and then Warner-Rhino said that they wanted to release it as a digital single. So we hope you guys enjoy the song. See you on the road. Take it easy."
Chicago will hit the road again on April 7th in Windsor, Ontario, Canada.
