Gene Simmons has teamed up with Gary Hamilton, chairman of Arclight Films, to launch Simmons/Hamilton Productions.
The two of them will develop, finance and produce 25 action feature films over five years. The first one is titled Deep Water, a survival thriller directed by Renny Harlin that will go into production later this year.
The film is about a plane full of international passengers forced to make an emergency landing between Los Angeles and Shanghai in shark-infested waters. The passengers then have to work together and overcome their differences if they want to escape the sinking plane with sharks circling the wreckage.
Simmons is also reportedly headed back into the comic book universe with a series based on the character he created, Dominatrix. The first issue will be released in July.
