The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony, which will take place on November 3rd at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, will be streamed live on Disney Plus for the first time. The ceremony will also be available for on demand streaming on the platform after the event. In addition, ABC will broadcast edited highlights of the ceremony on January 1st.
The Rock Hall has announced the performers and presenters for the ceremony, which will honor the 2023 inductees. The inductees are Sheryl Crow, Missy Elliott, Chaka Khan, Willie Nelson, Kate Bush, Rage Against the Machine, The Spinners, George Michael, DJ Kool Herc, Link Wray, Al Kooper, Bernie Taupin and Don Cornelius.
Among the performers are four of the inductees: Sheryl Crow, Missy Elliott, Chaka Khan and Willie Nelson. They will be joined by other artists such as Elton John, who will be honoring his writing partner and Musical Excellence inductee Bernie Taupin; Brandi Carlile, Dave Matthews, H.E.R., Chris Stapleton, St. Vincent and New Edition. The ceremony will also feature tributes to the inductees who are no longer with us or who will not be performing. Kate Bush and Rage Against the Machine have declined to perform at the ceremony, while The Spinners have no original members still alive. George Michael, Link Wray and Don Cornelius have also passed away. DJ Kool Herc and Al Kooper will be honored for their Musical Influence and Musical Excellence respectively.
