The Rolling Stones have teamed up with two of the most talented artists in the music industry for their new song "Sweet Sounds of Heaven," which is the second single off their forthcoming album ‘Hackney Diamonds.’ The song features Lady Gaga on vocals and Stevie Wonder on keyboards, adding their distinctive flair to the Stones' classic rock sound.
The collaboration happened spontaneously when Lady Gaga stopped by Henson Studios in Los Angeles, where the Stones were recording the song. According to Ronnie Wood, who spoke to us in an exclusive audio interview, Mick Jagger invited her to join them on the mic. "She was sitting on the floor in the studio and Mick said, 'Don't just sit there and hum, you know. Get up. Let's record this.' So she's lovely. She's very talented," Wood said.
Stevie Wonder also lent his talents to the song, playing various keyboards and creating a soulful groove. Wood praised his musical genius in another audio clip. "Stevie's just so wonderful to watch. He's kind of playing all the different keyboards and he's just boiling over with talent. We love him," he said.

Both Gaga and Wonder are no strangers to the Stones. Gaga joined them onstage during their 50 & Counting tour in 2012, performing “Gimme Shelter,” which was eventually released on their GRRR Live! album. And Stevie toured with them on their 1972 U.S. tour where they would regularly perform a medley of “Satisfaction” and “Uptight (Everything’s Alright)” together.
"Sweet Sounds of Heaven" is the follow-up to last month's release of "Angry," the first single off of Hackney Diamonds, the Stones' first album of original material since 2005's A Bigger Bang. The album will be out on October 20th.
