Two new documentaries about two of the most influential rock stars of all time are coming soon. ‘The Stones and Brian Jones’ and ‘The Lost Weekend: A Love Story’ will shed light on the personal and professional lives of Brian Jones, the founder and guitarist of The Rolling Stones, and John Lennon.
‘The Stones and Brian Jones’ will focus on the complex relationship between Jones and his bandmates, who eventually fired him from the group in 1969. The film will feature rare footage and interviews with people who knew him, such as his former girlfriend Anita Pallenberg and his children. The film will also explore his mysterious death at age 27, which has been the subject of many conspiracy theories. A trailer for the film is now available on YouTube. The film will open in theaters on November 7th followed by its digital release on November 17th.
‘The Lost Weekend: A Love Story’ will tell the story of John Lennon's 18-month separation from his wife Yoko Ono in 1973-1974, which he called his "lost weekend". The film is made by May Pang, who was Lennon's girlfriend and assistant during that period. The film will show how Pang helped Lennon reconnect with his son Julian, his musical roots, and his friends, such as Paul McCartney and Elton John.
