Paul Rodgers talks about Rock Hall snub

Paul Rodgers, the legendary singer of Free and Bad Company, has never been nominated for induction into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, but he doesn't mind at all. In fact, he once turned down an offer from the late Ahmet Ertegun, the co-founder of the Rock Hall and Atlantic Records, to "be part of it."

In a recent interview, Rodgers explained that he has never sought that kind of recognition because his main goal is to connect with people through his music. He said that he was inspired by the blues and soul artists who expressed their emotions through their songs. He added that this is what rock and roll is really about.

Rodgers did not specify what Ertegun meant by being part of the Rock Hall, whether it was an induction or some other role. He simply said that he declined the invitation.

Rodgers is widely regarded as one of the best rock vocalists of all time, and his bands Free and Bad Company have sold millions of records worldwide. He has also collaborated with other artists such as Queen, Jimmy Page, and Jeff Beck. However, he has never received a nod from the Rock Hall, which has been criticized for snubbing many influential rock acts over the years.

Rodgers is currently working on a new solo album and touring with Bad Company. He said that he is happy with his career and his fans, and that he doesn't need any awards or accolades to validate his work.
