Chicago will once again grace the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade tomorrow in New York City, marking their fourth appearance in the annual event. The parade, which will air on NBC from 9 a.m. to noon, is a special occasion for the band's co-founder, keyboardist and singer Robert Lamm, who grew up in Brooklyn.
"It's really just a ton of fun. I'm very excited to be able to do it again," Lamm said in an audio message. But before they hit the parade route, Chicago will perform Wednesday night outside Macy's on 34th Street, which serves as a soundcheck for Thursday. Then, they will wake up early to join their float, which will be surrounded by many other floats in Central Park.
"They line up the floats in Central Park, so there's like many, many floats in front and in back of whatever float we're gonna be on. It's really choreographed incredibly," Lamm said.
