Bon Jovi have just released a video for their new holiday song, “Christmas Isn’t Christmas.” They’re calling it a heartfelt ballad that expresses the longing for a loved one who is far away during the holidays.
The video, which was directed by Phil Griffin, shows the band at a bar where a night of karaoke is going on, and everyone just so happens to sing their song. The guys join in the fun, as well as some familiar faces, such as Jon Bon Jovi’s wife Dorothea and their son Jesse. The video also features clips of fans from around the world singing along to the song.
The song is the latest release from Bon Jovi’s 2020 album, which came out in October. The album, which was originally titled Bon Jovi: 2020, was delayed and reworked due to the COVID-19 pandemic and the social unrest in the U.S. The album features songs that address topics such as gun violence, racial injustice, veterans’ issues, and the coronavirus crisis.
The video for “Christmas Isn’t Christmas” is up on YouTube.
