Gloria Gaynor is ready to share her life story with the world in a new documentary titled ‘I Will Survive,’ named after her iconic hit song that became an anthem of empowerment and resilience.
A trailer for the documentary is up on YouTube now, giving a glimpse of the highs and lows of Gaynor's career and personal life, from her Grammy-winning success to her struggles with domestic abuse, spinal surgery, and COVID-19.
Gaynor hopes to inspire fans with her life story, which she says is a testament to her faith and perseverance. She tells People, "I want them to know how and why I survive, and that these elements of life, these uplifting, encouraging, inspiring, empowering elements of life are available to them as well."
I Will Survive will hit theaters on February 13th, just in time for Valentine's Day. Gaynor says the documentary is a love letter to her fans, who have supported her throughout her journey. "I want them to know that I love them, I appreciate them, and I thank them for being there for me," she says.
