Heart is rocking again

Heart, led by sisters Ann and Nancy Wilson, have returned to the stage after a hiatus of more than two years. The band performed four shows in the past week, including a special appearance at the NHL Winter Classic.

The reunion shows kicked off in California, where Heart played two concerts after Christmas. They then headed to their hometown of Seattle for a New Year's Eve show at the Climate Pledge Arena. The next day, they rocked the T-Mobile Park during the first intermission of the hockey game between the Las Vegas Golden Knights and the Seattle Kraken.

The band delighted their fans with a mix of their classic hits, such as "Barracuda", "Crazy on You", and "Alone", and some covers of their musical influences, such as David Bowie's "Let's Dance" and Led Zeppelin's "The Battle of Evermore" and "Stairway to Heaven".

In an interview with the Seattle Times, Nancy Wilson expressed her excitement about working with her sister again. "It’s a really beautiful legacy to dive back into and look around and see over the four decades-plus that we’ve managed to do some pretty awesome, artistic musical things," she said.

She also credited their sense of humor and passion for music for their longevity and survival. "Music is a real healing power, and right now, need I say, the world needs it a lot," she said.

She also joked that they considered staging a fight to please the social media haters but dismissed the idea as nonsense. "In my case, having Ann as my sister and having done music with her since I was born basically, it’s a good thing," she said.

The sisters also hinted at the possibility of new music in the future. Nancy said that they have recorded some songs and that she has been working with Sue Ennis, a longtime collaborator of Heart.

The reunion shows are just a warm-up for Heart's upcoming summer tour, which will see them join forces with Journey and Def Leppard for several stadium dates. The tour dates and tickets are available on Heart's official website.
