A.J. McLean and wife Rochelle DeAnna McLean have decided to call it quits after 10 years of marriage. The couple announced their divorce on Instagram on Wednesday.
The Backstreet Boy shared a photo of him and his soon-to-be ex-wife smiling together, along with a heartfelt caption. He wrote, "As you all know we have been separated for over a year now. While we have hoped for reconciliation we have decided to officially end our marriage."
He continued, "It is with deep love and respect that we have made this decision. Our focus now is moving forward in the healthiest way possible with friendship and co-parenting our girls at the forefront of this next chapter. We appreciate your kindness, respect, and privacy at this time."
Rochelle, who is a hair and makeup artist, also posted the same photo and caption on her own Instagram account. She added a heart emoji at the end of her message.
The couple tied the knot in December 2011 in Beverly Hills, California. They share two daughters, Ava Jaymes, 8, and Lyric Dean, 6.
A.J., 45, is best known as a member of the pop group Backstreet Boys, who recently wrapped up their DNA World Tour in November 2023. He also competed on the 29th season of Dancing with the Stars in 2020, where he finished in fourth place.
Rochelle McLean, 40, has appeared on several reality shows, including I Heart Nick Carter and House of Carters. She also runs a lifestyle blog called Rochelle's Realm, where she shares tips on beauty, fashion, and parenting.
