Kelly Clarkson pays tribute to The Bangles

Kelly Clarkson showed off her vocal skills and paid tribute to one of her favorite bands on the latest episode of her talk show. The singer and host performed a stunning cover of "Eternal Flame" by The Bangles, as part of her popular ‘Kellyoke’ segment.

"Eternal Flame" is a power ballad released in 1989 as the second single from the Bangles' third album, Everything. The song was written by Bangles member Susanna Hoffs with songwriters Billy Steinberg and Tom Kelly, who were inspired by an eternal flame at Elvis Presley's Graceland and a synagogue in Palm Springs. The song became a worldwide hit, reaching number one in nine countries, including the US, the UK, and Australia. 1 2

Clarkson delivered a faithful rendition of the song, accompanied by her band and a string section. She sang with emotion and passion, hitting the high notes with ease and adding some of her own flair to the melody. She also expressed her admiration for the Bangles, saying, "I love them so much. They're one of my favorite bands of all time."
