Guns n' Roses bassist Duff McKagan made a special appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live a few days ago. He rocked "Longfeather", a song from his third solo album, ‘Lighthouse.’
Lighthouse is a follow-up to McKagan's 2019 album, Tenderness, which was a more acoustic and introspective record. Lighthouse is more upbeat and energetic, featuring guest appearances from Slash, Jerry Cantrell, and Iggy Pop.
McKagan said he wrote and recorded Lighthouse during the covid-19 pandemic, when he had to cancel his tour with Guns n' Roses. He said that he used his home studio to create over 40 songs, and that Lighthouse is the first of four albums that he plans to release.
