Music legend Elton John is set to share his memories and insights of his Farewell Yellow Brick Road Tour, which spanned five years and 330 shows across the globe. His new book, ‘Elton John’s Farewell Yellow Brick Road: Memories of My Life on Tour,’ will be published on September 20th by Hyperion Avenue.
The book is a full-color celebration of the tour, which marked Elton John's retirement from the road after more than 50 years of performing. It features unreleased photography and memorabilia from his personal archive, as well as stories and reflections from Elton John himself. He says, "It’s been a beautiful journey creating this book and remembering the people and places that shaped an incredible chapter in my life, as well as the stories and memories -- not just from this tour but from throughout my career. I’ve included unreleased photography and memorabilia that I hope give you never-before-seen insights of my life on the road."
The book also includes a foreword by David Furnish, Elton John's husband and manager, who was the creative director of the tour. He writes, "This book is a tribute to the extraordinary team behind the scenes who made this tour possible, and to the fans who joined us on this incredible journey. It is also a testament to Elton's unparalleled talent, passion, and dedication to his craft. He is truly one of a kind."
