Taylor Swift has made history by surpassing The Beatles for the most weeks with albums in the Billboard Top 10. The pop superstar has three albums in the Top 10 this week -- 1989 (Taylor’s Version), Lover, and Midnights -- bringing her total to 384 weeks, two more than The Beatles' 382 weeks (about 7 and a half years).
Swift's latest achievement is a testament to her enduring popularity and prolific output, as she has released four albums in the past two years, including two surprise albums in 2020. Her re-recorded version of her 2014 album 1989, which features six new songs, debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart last week, making it her tenth No. 1 album.
However, The Beatles still hold the record for the most albums that charted in the Top 10 with 32, compared to 16 for Swift. The Fab Four first cracked the Billboard Top 10 the week of February 8th, 1964 with Meet the Beatles. And their last one to chart in the Top 10 was the reissue of Revolver in November 2022.
The Beatles' album that spent the most weeks in the Top 10 is Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band with 35, followed by Abbey Road and A Hard Day’s Night with 28 each. Following The Beatles for the most weeks are The Rolling Stones with 309 and Barbra Streisand with 277.
